Barbecue Recipes
Welcome to the recipe section of my site. Being the grilling and smoking freak that I am, you'll see that influence in my recipe selection. Every now and then, I may throw in another type of recipe. If I try something that I really like and think you may as well, you'll find it here. Plus, it's my site. I can do what I want... buon appetito!
Marinades
Phase one of fine barbecue
I kind of lumped a few things here. You'll find marinades, brines, mops and bastes in this section. Whatever you want to call them is just fine by me. It's not only about flavor, sometimes it's about "treating" meat .
Meat Rubs
Phase two of fine barbecue
Ahh, meat rubs! My favorite thing when it comes to barbecue. Not only is a good rub a major influence in the flavor of the meat, I find it challenging to pair a rub with the appropriate finishing sauce.
Barbecue Sauces
Phase three of fine barbecue
I would rather call this section Finishing Sauces. I think that better describes what we do here. My grilled apple cream sauce wouldn't qualify as a barbecue sauce, would it? For now, we'll call it barbecue sauces.
Appetizers
Great beginnings!
If you need an appetizer for your next barbecue or just some ideas for an informal gathering of friends, these recipes are sure to please. There's nothing like gathering around the grill with food and drink before a great meal.
Side Dishes
The other final phase of fine barbecue
Yes, the other final phase. What's a great barbecue without the appropriate side dishes? Coleslaw, baked beans, potato salad and all the other kind of fixin's truly contribute to great barbecue. You've gone to far to fail here!
Chicken Wings
Grilled or oven baked
I could make a meal out of chicken wings. Well, actually I often do. Wings are very versatile things. From spicy to mild, Teriyaki to BBQ, or just plain. I believe any chicken wing is good...finger lickin' good!

Beef
Ahh, the final phase of barbecue...meat!
This is what it's all about...the meat! Beef truly benefits from the flavors of the grill. If you tell me a burger or steak isn't better when cooked on the grill, I'd have to say you've lost your senses...of taste.
Pork
The other grilling meat
The king of Southern-style barbecue. The best pork is cooked for a long period of time in a smoker under low heat. The recipes found here have been adapted to the grill with almost the same results.
Poultry
Great on the grill!
Barbecued poultry is always a favorite. Why even a grilled chicken breast does wonders to a sandwich or salad. Try a smoked turkey or go crazy with a beer can chicken.
